Takeaway goes with quality food

With a wide range of products catering to the everyday needs of people in South Auckland and other parts of the city, the opening of the new Get Fresh supermarket at 99 Westney Road in Mangere marks yet another era, not only for the Get Fresh Group of Companies but also for the shopping public.

Such a beginning would make a major difference to the country’s retail sector, bringing the best of almost everything that people need at the best price.

Subsisting in a perishable market, dealers in fruits and vegetables must constantly monitor movements and ensure that their products are sold before they become unworthy of consumption.

“Our motto is ‘Eat good and feel good.’ We greet our customers with a clean and healthy environment, and hence we have been granted ‘Grade A’ by the officials,” Naushad Ali, Director of the Get Fresh Group of Companies said.

Qualified chefs

The Takeaway section at the new supermarket, which opened on Saturday, February 21, 2013, will undoubtedly mark a significant part of the Get Fresh Group of Companies, for it adheres to the principles of quality products and services.

Get Fresh Takeaway employs qualified chefs with several years of experience.

Among them are Head Chef Mumtaz Ali and Sous Chefs Mohammed Janif and Zainal Mohammed Fizaaz, who ensure that every item of food is prepared to perfection.

Mumtaz is a highly qualified professional with extensive experience, working in restaurants in Fiji (Chicken Bite in Nadi), Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and several other countries.

“We have been busy since the opening day. It is exciting to cater to the varied tastes of people,” Zainal said.

His previous experience at Happy Days Restaurant in South Auckland and Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre in Mt Wellington has given him the confidence to meet the demands of customers.

Mohammed has worked at the Grand Chancellor Hotel (Airport Oaks) and Pacifica Restaurant in Papatoetoe.

With the hallmark of Halal, the Takeaway caters to the varied tastes of people, with a speciality in Fiji style dishes such as curries, chow mein, fish lolo, butter chicken and much more.

Customers say that fish, chicken and chips at the Get Fresh Takeaway are among the best in Auckland.

“Our Takeaway section is open from 6 am to 9 pm on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and from 8 am to 9 pm on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and public holidays. As well as providing European, Chinese, Fiji and Indian cuisine, our Takeaway also provides a wide range of coffee and tea,” Zainal said.
