A rare opportunity to hear Sir Stephen Tindall at our Lecture
While The Warehouse Group (including Noel Leeming) has given New Zealand the most extensive and affordable retail experience, its Founder-Chairman Sir Stephen Tindall has fostered, through The Tindall Foundation, social and environmental development with the concept of ‘More than Money.’
The Tindall Foundation has supported the community foundation movement in New Zealand for the last 18 years. There are now 16 community foundations across the country and the Foundation has worked with many of these to help grow their funds.
The 16 Community Foundations have over $160 million in managed funds and another $250 million in promised funds.
Vision and Fortitude
Sir Stephen is seen as a brilliant example of vision and fortitude by corporate executives, high-end investors, self-employed people and emerging entrepreneurs.
He is the Guest Speaker at this year’s Indian Newslink Sir Anand Satyanand Lecture, scheduled to be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Pullman Hotel, Auckland.
His speech, with ‘Contributing to a stronger New Zealand’ as the main subject, will be a source of inspiration. And he would have many success stories to tell.
Acorn, an incredible Company
One such would be Acorn Foundation, an incredible journey.
Acorn started with an investment of $96,000. Twelve years later, its managed funds are at $21.6 million. In addition, the Company has more than $160 million in anticipated funds (or bequests) coming in the future. These are staggering numbers, and all dedicated for the benefit of the Bay of Plenty.
It has been grown by the people, for the people. It is wonderful stuff!
