Liquidators of Greenwoods Corner Travel (which traded as Panworld Travel Mangere) have convened a meeting of creditors on March 19, 2014 at 10 am at the Ellerslie Event Centre, 80 Ascot Avenue in Auckland.
A public notification that appeared in New Zealand Herald on March 11, 2014, issued by Gerry Rea Partners, liquidators of the Company said that the meeting will consider whether to (1) confirm the appointment of the present liquidators (2) pass resolutions setting out the views of creditors relating to the liquidation and (3) appoint a liquidation committee, and if so to appoint members of that committee.
“The Meeting will also consider any other resolutions relating to the business of the Company as may properly be put to the meeting,” the Public Notice said.
Creditors interested in attending the Meeting should contact P G Sargison, Joint Liquidator, Gerry Rea Partners on (09) 3773099.
As published in our February 15 and March 1, 2014 issues, Greenwoods Corner Travel (1987) Limited was placed under voluntary liquidation by its Managing Director Nimesh Kumar Amin, vide a Public Notice published in the Herald on February 4.
“It was my decision to liquidate the company because I have suffered losses valued at about $890,000, mainly because of unpaid airfares by clients,” he told this publication.
Since then a number of passengers have complained that they had their travel plans interrupted since the tickets for which they had made payment earlier, were either not issued or were invalid.
