Waitakere holds the game with Ba

Waitakere United with the Ba Team.jpgThe friendly match between Ba and Waitakere United held at Bill McKinlay Park in Panmure, Auckland on September 18 ended in a draw.

Both teams scored a goal each.

It was the second clash between the two teams since 2007.

The Ba team still have unfinished business with Waitakere United as it has not been able to defeat Waitakere since then.

Petro Dauniseika scored for Ba in first half, while Chris Bale scored for Waitakere with 12 minutes remaining in the second half.

It was a fast-paced match, with both sides displaying great soccer.

The general impression was that the Ba side played quality soccer with smart movements, which gave them the edge in the first half.

The Waitakere United team was equally adept, with several brilliant passing moves.

Their adroitness fetched a goal for the team.

New Zealand Fiji Soccer Inc organised the friendly match in association with New Zealand Soccer.

More than 4000 fans, including former Ba residents and players were present at the thrilling event.

“The atmosphere was stunning,” said a soccer fan.
