When it comes to swimming, 12-year-old Tanayaz Patil takes to water like a fish.
Last month, she topped the entrants at the Papatoetoe Swimming Club contest for girls of her age, taking home a citation and a trophy.
Scooping the First Prize is nothing new for this Remuera Intermediate School Year 8 student. Last year, she attained same feat at the swimming contest for 11-year-old girls.
As an additional feather to her cap, Tanayaz received a Certificate for ‘Excellent Attitude and Citizenship’ from the School.
