Ashima Singh: Awards and Honours follow sincere work

Determination, devotion and dedication are personified in the personality of Ashima Singh, Barrister and Full Partner at Legal Associates, a law firm based in the South Auckland suburb of Papatoetoe.

Those qualities enabled her to win the ‘Best Businesswoman of the Year’ at the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards 2016, motivated by which she and her team, led by husband Raj Pradeep Singh registered spectacular performance at your Business Awards last year.

Best Employer of Choice

The firm won the ‘Best Employer of Choice’ and ‘Best Medium-Sized Business’ Awards at the Tenth Annual Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards 2017 and was cited as a finalist in the Supreme Business of the Year Award and ‘Business Excellence in Innovation’ category.

“I was honoured and privileged to receive the first award in 2016 and was even more pleased that Legal Associates performed very well at the 2017 Awards. We hope to do even better this year. We are delighted that our efforts and hard work are being recognised,” she said.

Crowning Moment

Ashima considers her admission to the Bar a few years ago as the crowning moment of her life and career, for which she is grateful to her husband and Principal of Legal Associates Raj.

Ashima Singh heads the Property and Commercial Law side of the business and has been responsible for exceptional practice growth, developing quality systems within the practice, and building a team of legal experts who cater to the many ethnic groups in South Auckland.

The staff is multinational to reflect their client base and includes Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Samoan and Tongan, to name a few.

Legal Associates arranges independent workshops to get employee’s feedback and suggestions to improve work performance and professional growth of the firm as an employer.
