Dr Robert Lateef Khan (Senior) Commemoration Award – For services to the people of Fiji

Dr Robert Lateef Khan (Senior) Commemoration Award

Presented to Heart International, Nadi, Fiji for services to the people of Fiji.

There are thousands of people in Fiji with a heart condition and their financial condition is so poor that they cannot even travel to New Zealand where an angiogram and angioplasty procedure with a single stent can cost up to New Zealand $35,000.

Heart International fulfils that need to an extent. Co-Founded by Dr Parma Nand, it is the only specialised heart clinic in Fiji offering state-of-the-art heart investigations and stent treatment at international standards delivered locally.

It is a dedicated clinic that does heart screening to assess the risk of heart problems.

Heart International Interventional Cardiologist Dr Seif El-Jack with (from left) Robert Khan, Fiji’s Attorney-General Aiyaz-Sayed Khaiyum, and Leader of the Opposition Simon Bridges.
