Farewell dinner to Inspector Joe Tipene

Auckland District Police District Commander Superintendent Karyn Malthus and other senior police officers and members of the Asian Advisory Board (the first and therefore the oldest in the country) hosted a private dinner to Inspector Joe Tipene who leaves his current post as Maori Responsive Manager shortly.

He moves to the Eastern Headquarters as the Area Prevention Manager within the District based in Mt Wellington.

In the first picture, Superintendent Karyn Malthus is speaking and in the other picture Inspector Rakesh Naidoo (currently on deputation as the Strategic Race Relations Advisor at the Human Rights Commission) pays tribute to Inspector Tipene.

In the third picture, Inspector Joe Tipene is responding to the speeches with his wife Melissa Tipene.
