As a part of her debut national tour titled ‘Queen of the Night,’ the funky singer and songwriter will take her high energy concert to ‘The Tuning Fork’ at Auckland’s Spark Arena on August 28, 2021.

Supported by Auckland UNESCO City of Music and Auckland Live, Venice has been selected as one of the Young Gig Maker Award recipients for 2021.

She performed ‘Queen of the Night’ at her debut, sold-out concert at The Civic in Auckland in November 2020, wowing the audience and inspiring her to continue her journey.

Venice embraces ethnic diversity and communities and would love to grow her ethnic community fan base.

Venice makes the kind of music you might hear at the party:

Mature and confident

Ambient Light reviewed her performances thus: “Vocally mature and confident, with lyrically clever hooks, there are all the elements here to make it as the international pop star that Venice has announced she inspires to be. Through her more balladlike songs such as ‘Found Myself’, ‘Dreamboy’ and the ‘just written last week,’ ‘Lighthouse,’ you are reminded of soulful storytellers such as Norah Jones, Regina Spektor and Adele, and it is in these moments that, for me, Venice’s voice truly shines.  But wait… there’s more!  Not only does Venice have chill ballads, but some pretty catchy up-tunes as well. ‘Let Me Down’, ‘I Love You’ and unreleased single ‘Mistakes & All’ having the ability to make you tap your toes and want to have a little seat dance.”

Feedback on the single was so positive that she garnered the support of industry heavyweights including Ratu Gordon who was the head sound engineer for Pink and Lady Gaga’s shows in Las Vegas, Laughton Kora and Tiki Taane who produced and mixed the single which was recorded at Neil Finn’s Roundhead Studio.

The recording also features on drums Ross Nansen (Stan Walker’s drummer; Sons of Zion), Andrew Cochrane on keys and synths (music director of Christmas in the Park); guitarist Jarni Blair (Summer Thieves), Christian Mausia and Thabani Gapara (brass section of Katchafire).
