Good-hearted banker passes away

We regret to announce the sudden death of our dear, banker-friend Vinod (‘Vee’ to colleagues and friends) Phekoo in Auckland yesterday (February 1, 2018).

He was 67 years old and the end came after a brief illness.

A South African Indian, he recently returned from India, after what he called, ‘A Pilgrimage.’

Vee left behind his wife Asha Phekoo and their only daughter Ashina.

Funeral Service

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Manukau Memorial Gardens Crematorium Chapel, located at 361 Puhinui Road, Manukau.

A gentle soul, Vee was a Business Development Manager at Westpac’s regional headquarters located at 652, Great South Road in Manukau City.

His wife Asha is also employed at Westpac, Manukau.

With his personal care and friendly approach, Vee brought a special meaning to customer service. Never known to raise his voice, he was always keen to ensure that the customers with whom he was connected remained satisfied and their genuine needs met.

Indian Newslink conveys its condolences to Asha and Ashina and prays that the departed soul should rest in peace.
