Harcourts takes up partnership of Lantern and Diwali Festivals

Harcourts has announced that the company will be a major partner of the Auckland Lantern and Diwali festivals in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Harcourts CEO Chris Kennedy said that it is a three-year commitment to two iconic Auckland events.

“Diwali and the Lantern Festival are joyful celebrations of the cultural diversity that makes Auckland the amazing city it is. Our Auckland, Whangarei and Bay of Islands franchise owners have banded together to sponsor the events and we couldn’t be happier to announce our partnership.”

Multicultural organisation

Mr Kennedy said that Harcourts is proudly multi-cultural, represented by 2500 sales consultants in New Zealand from a diverse range of backgrounds.

“Celebrating diversity, what makes us unique and what brings us together, is at the core of our Harcourts’ value of ‘People First.’ That is why this partnership is important to us.”

Year of the Dog

The 2018 Auckland Lantern Festival will take place from March 1 to March 4 at the Auckland Domain, where the city will welcome the ‘Year of the Dog.’

The Auckland Diwali Festival, or festival of light, will take place over two days in Aotea Square in October 2018.

Auckland Lantern and Diwali festivals are run by Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED).

Highlights of the Auckland Lantern Festival include a spectacular illumination of hundreds of handmade Chinese lanterns, a street full of stalls selling delicious Asian delicacies and crafts and stunning performances of traditional and contemporary Chinese culture.

Diwali 2018

Tens of thousands of Aucklanders of all ages turn out each year for the Auckland Diwali Festival, which is a chance to enjoy and experience traditional and contemporary Indian culture.
