STAAH, a cloud-based hospitality distribution technology specialist, has launched ‘WeChat Pay’ for the convenience of Chinese travellers.

The service will be provided through the gateway services of Valoot.

Hotels around the world using STAAH’s suite of products can now use Valoot to start accepting WeChat Pay for bookings.

Increased visibility

Valoot can also help the hotels and properties with creating official WeChat accounts to increase their visibility in China and ultimately increase bookings from Chinese travellers.

WeChat Pay is by far the most prominent payment gateway in the region, used by more than one billion Chinese consumers.

STAAH Founder-Director Gavin Jeddo said that partnering with Valoot to accept WeChat Pay in multiple payment scenarios would allow the client properties to provide an integral and seamless payment experience with which Chinese consumers are familiar and comfortable

“We have always put our clients first and as many of them look to expand in the Chinese market, this integration is important,” he said.

Wide customer reach

Valoot is a Hong Kong-based financial technology company whose solutions also include multi-currency pricing at point of sale. It is one of the best gateways for WeChat Pay and Alipay, with a global geographical reach achieved by forging strategic alliances with financial institutions worldwide.

It was the first to bring WeChat Pay to the United Kingdom and continues to spread its network at a fast pace.

Valoot Technologies Limited Founder-Chief Executive Ovidiu Olea said that his company was thrilled to offer our WeChat Pay gateway services on the STAAH platform as it enables to reach out to potentially thousands of clients efficiently.

“Providing a good customer service with Chinese-tailored solutions is important for hospitality businesses worldwide and payment plays a key role in today’s new commerce environment. Valoot shares the common goal with STAAH to bring the innovation of mobile payment to exceed customers’ expectations,”he said.

The integration has now been completed and is available for STAAH clients.
