Successful business makes a point

hairportWomen of Indian origin have begun to sparkle in the beauty, hair care and skincare industry and apart from owning and managing highly successful businesses, they have been winning high honours at our Business Awards.

Pravin Chaudhary, Director of Hair Point Hunters Plaza, is a woman with foresight and spirit of adventure. Combining a penchant for high service standards, she is proud of her team of 12 qualified professionals who aim to optimise customer satisfaction.

Unique Style

“Since we purchased an ongoing business in 2005, we have added our own unique style of customer care, even as we embellish with hair care and skin care. We take our customers seriously and their satisfaction is the most important factor in our success. I am also the receptionist here and love the job as it brings me in to direct contact with people,” Pravin said.

Other Businesses

While Hair Port Hunters Plaza is set to mark its tenth anniversary next month, Pravin is equally proud of other businesses that she owns, all accounting for a complement of more than 30 staff. These include ‘Freedom Hair,’ marking its fifth anniversary at Hunters Plaza this year, ‘Kiwi Yo’ in Manukau and two Barber Shops.

A native of Sigatoka (Fiji), Pravin arrived in New Zealand in 2006, and since then she has been promoting and expanding the beauty and hair business.

“Competition has become very intense and customers today have a wider choice than ever before. We have maintained and even improved our market share over the past ten years, thanks to our loyal customers and qualified and motivated staff. I am confident that we will continue to progress and expand in the years ahead,” she said.
