Do you need advise on an immigration problem?

Has an application filed by you or someone known to you for a Visa (of any type) been declined by Immigration New Zealand (INZ) or has it been kept pending for a length of time?

Are you confused by the various types of visas and permits issued by INZ and you are unsure of how to go about them?

Six months after marriage, are you still waiting for your Partner’s Visa?

Perhaps you want to bring your parents on a visit or to stay with you and you do not know if you qualify or not?

Questions and Answers

You can find answers to these and other questions at an Immigration Forum scheduled to be held in Auckland later this month.

Raj Pardeep and his wife Ashima Singh, respectively Principal and Partner at Legal Associates Barristers and Solicitors, a South Auckland based legal firm are organising the Forum in response to the growing concern among ethnic communities.

The Immigration Forum will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Diversity Centre, New Zealand Indian Manukau Association, located at 25 Tui Road, Papatoetoe. Entry is free and open to all.

Daunting and confusing

Mr Singh said that the immigration process can be daunting and confusing.

“Many people are not aware of the changes made by INZ to policies and procedures on various types of visas. They have expressed their anxiety over these and are not sure of the criteria and qualifications that can determine their status. We are organising the Forum to clarify matters relating to immigration,” he said.

Ms Singh said that Legal Associates has been conducting free legal clinic every Saturday from May 6, 2017 and that the forthcoming Forum will be exclusively for immigration.

“We hope that the Immigration Forum will benefit our wider ethnic communities. From the inquiries that we have been receiving, it would seem that a large number of people are keen to get clarifications on immigration matters. Our forthcoming free Forum will hopefully benefit all of them,” she said.

Although entry to the event is free, Ms Singh said that it would be advisable to reserve a seat in advance.
