More than 80 artistes who have catapulted Tamil films and film actors, villains and others to fame and success at the box office will participate in the global event on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 6 pm, New Zealand time.
Suren Surendran, a talented musician who has participated and organised many music shows with renowned musicians and local talents over the past 20 years is the New Zealand Coordinator for the forthcoming global show.
Melody by popular artistes
“This Programme has been organised by United Singers Charitable Trust, a community initiative not only to promote music but also support members of the music fraternity during the current period of stress and uncertainty perpetrated by Covid-19. More than 80 artistes – some of them popular in several language films will render songs that are popular among the South East Asian Diaspora. The online Concert will run for more than six hours,” he said.
We believe that some of the artistes would be Shankar Mahadevan, P Unnikrishnan, K S Chitra, Mano, S P Shailaja, Sujatha Mohan, Unni Menon, Karthik, Haricharan Seshadri and Harini.
Donate for a cause
“It would be an event that will compel your viewing and perhaps inspire you for further support. While hundreds of artistes have entertained us for decades, there have been thousands of others who have worked behind the scenes. All of them and their families are in dire need of support. This is the time we give something back to them,” Mr Surendran said.
