ASB Bank, one of the largest commercial banks in the country has opened its 56 the Branch in the Auckland bringing the total network of branches countrywide to 124.
The new Branch, located at 22 Stoddard Road, will offer several facilities to customers including free WiFi’ and FastNest Classic.
General Manager (Branch Banking) Logan Munro, who was at the inaugural function, said that ASB aims to serve the vibrant and growing community of the area.
Modern facilities
“Customers of our new branch can expect the same great customer service for which ASB is renowned in a modern setting with the latest banking technology. Our customers will be able to enjoy instant deposit functionality from our ATMs, in addition to free WiFi, access to our online banking platform ‘FastNet Classic’ and instant deposit functionality from our ATMs,” he said.
The opening of the new branch bucks the trend of commercial banks closing some of their existing branches throughout New Zealand but Mr Munro said that ASB will continue to invest in branches.
Investment in new branches
“Branches have been an important part of ASB’s heritage since the bank first opened in 1847, and continue to play an essential role in delivering banking solutions to our customers. Our Bank continues to invest in branches that are fitted out with the latest banking technology. In addition to ASB Stoddard Road branch opening on Monday, April 10, ASB recently returned to the site of its first Queen Street branch which opened on June 5, 1847,” he said.
