Hotel to take off on delectable journey

The aromatic and sublime cuisine of India will be an experience to cherish as one of our finest hotels embarks on a delectable journey later this month.

Sudima Auckland Airport Hotel (located at 18 Airpark Drive, Airport Oaks, Mangere), which has registered impressive growth attracting a cross-section of the resident communities and international visitors since its opening about two years ago, is promoting an exclusive Indian food promotion.

The Hotel’s ‘Visaya Restaurant’ will be the venue for what has been termed, ‘Taste Bud Tour of India,’ for the special culinary experience from October 19 to 25.

The promotion will be held over lunch from 12 pm to 2 pm (at $35 per person) and dinner from 530 pm to 10 pm (at $45 per person). If you are in a pack of six, could dine free, enjoying the ‘Pay Five-Eat Six’ offer.

Live Entertainment would be a part of the package.

Style & Value

Director and Event Coordinator Laxmi Jhunjhnuwala said that the food promotion is a pre-Diwali Festival treat, with taste, elegance, style and value.

“India will come alive at Visaya Restaurant and Bar with an array of decorations, music and live entertainment. A sumptuous buffet, ranging from the street food of Mumbai to the Royal delicacies of Rajasthan, with the artistic touch of our chefs will be highlight of the seven-day food promotion. We want to create a memorable evening with live entertainment, dancing to Bollywood music and spot prizes for the best dressed, the best dancer and a variety of others,” she said.

Mrs Jhunjhnuwala said that the Hotel’s Executive Chef Rakesh Chandra was preparing his team to present authentic culinary masterpieces to transport diners from the alluring flavours of North including Kashmiri and Rajasthani favourites, to tantalising tastes of Gujarat and Goa in the West and Bengal in the East, to the exotic delights of Southern India.

“Guests will be able to enjoy a different variety of food every day for lunch and dinner. There will be a buffet with a speciality of food from two to three regions of India to cover the tour of India in one week,” she said.
