Immigration New Zealand apologies to Fijians

Venkat Raman –

Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has apologised to Fiji PAC registrants in Fiji for not advising them of their ballot registration numbers prior to the ballot draw.

The draw was held on Friday, May 5, 2015.

Technical error

INZ attributed the lapse to a ‘technical error’ and confirmed that it did not affect Fiji PAC registrants living in New Zealand.

“We are working on the problem and hope to notify all registrants of their registration numbers either by SMS or email soon. This will be done prior to publication of those registrations that were successfully drawn from the ballot. We wish to assure all those who registered, and who met the registration criteria, were entered into the ballot,” the notification said.

The number of 8997 Fijians registered under the Pacific Access Category during April 2015.

At press time, INZ was making final checks prior to publishing the list of successful registration numbers.

For those in Fiji, the TT Services receipt is proof of registration into the 2015 PAC.

If there was a problem with your registration and you could not be entered into the ballot, INZ would have contacted you by now.
