“I am a typical Kiwi girl and my passion for a number of things has grown with me since my formative years,” says Lauren Watkins, our Model of the Fortnight.
Those passions include Football, Animals and The Arts.
From a young age, Lauren always loved to be the centre of attention.
However, all her confidence dropped when she entered high school.
Arriving at a small school with barely 90 students to one which held around 1800, finding a place to be herself was hard.
Once she left high school she was able to figure out different corners of her life so that she could move forward and start building herself again.
Unknown Journey
Lauren started her unknown journey not only facing the everyday battle of an earthquake- stricken city but also by working on a dairy farm rearing calves, studying through Design and Arts college then moving to Animal Care last year.
She has never been a person to shut down options immediately!
If she has to go through multiple paths to get to where she wants to be, then of course she would say, “She would give everything a go.”
Five Crowns Change
Entering Miss Five Crowns New Zealand changed Lauren’s perspective on everything in life.
“It made me start to think, that if I put everything I know into working for what I want, I can, not only do this for myself, but I can also help others believe that they can follow their dreams.”
She has applied to the New Zealand Police Force and she looks forward to going through their procedure.
Lauren knows it could take a while and although everything good takes time, and is looking forward to what is yet to come.
