Netball Team prepares for Sangam World Cup

The Hamilton Sangam netball team has participated in the annual TISI Sangam Convention in Fiji over the Easter weekend since 2007.

This year, the club successfully defended their title for the fifth year in a row, which is quite an achievement.

The team has a mix of girls from high school students to young mums who all love the game of netball. They have had to learn to juggle their time between work, study and family commitments for training and games plus various fundraising projects throughout the year.

The club organised a get together last month to acknowledge the commitment the girls have put in and to also thank their supporters and sponsors.

The team is managed by Prabha Masih and Izaaz Ali who have been the backbone of this club and do an amazing job behind the scenes. We are very lucky to have a great support network – our families, friends and our sponsors, and we could not have achieved what we have without their help.

The club also acknowledges all the girls that have played for HSF in the previous years as you all are very much a part of this achievement.

The team is now preparing for a new challenge which is the Sangam World cup which will be held in Sydney end of November this year.
