Restaurant offers value for money

Indian cuisine has captivated all ethnic groups and with an ever-growing variety of dishes, restaurants that cater to a cross-section of the society can hope to survive even under fierce competition and during tough economic times.

Salateen Indian Cuisine and Kebab Salateen, located at the Hunters Mall on Great South Road in Papatoetoe offers quality, value for money and personalised service.

Extensive range

Owner Syed Shabih Ahmed, who purchased the running business two years ago, said that Salateen makes available more than 15 items for customers from 9 am to 530 pm on all days of the week, except on Thursdays when the Mall is open until 9 pm.

“We offer an extensive range of Indian items, cooked by well experienced chefs and public response has been encouraging. We will continue to monitor the market trends to serve our customers better,” Shabih said.

The items include most curry items that are popular, including butter chicken, lamb korma, lamb masala, vindaloo and vegetarian items.

Kebab Corner

For those keen on a difference, the ‘Kebab Salateen’ provides a number of delicacies.

New Zealanders are showing increasing interest in Indian food, lured by its exquisite aroma. But as ‘Salateen Indian Cuisine’ has shown, Indian food is not restricted to a few items; there is a lot more to it.
