The human asset enhances value

The real estate sector may be subject to volatility, making investors and commercial property owners nervous but wading through challenges with commitment and dedication comes naturally to a few.

And success does not elude those with perseverance and professionalism.

Among those who have achieved distinction, becoming a source of inspiration is Bayleys Real Estate Retail, Commercial and Industrial Property Sales Consultant Tony Chaudhary, who was recently honoured with an Award for being the company’s Top South Auckland Salesperson, for the fourth year in succession.

His performance also won him the title of ‘Second Most Successful Commercial Agent in New Zealand’ within the Bayleys network for the 2011-2012 financial year.

The Awards were certainly well deserved, as Mr Chaudhary distinguished himself, completing more than 60 commercial and industrial sales, and leasing transactions valued at about $50 million.

He is one of those whose careers have risen to the heights of skyscrapers that one sees around the country. It was a no mean achievement to become one of the most successful agents of one of the largest firms of its type in less than five years.

Based at Bayleys’ East Tamaki office, he works across the Auckland market on a firm foundation of honesty, integrity and alacrity.

Among the sales that he recorded over the past year was a 59-hectare block of land in Silverdale for over $5 million and a host of auction sales, which have in a number of cases secured vendors premiums tens of thousands of dollars above reserve.

The property range

One of his most recent auction transactions was ‘under-the-hammer’ sale of Toyota’s Manukau dealership on Great South Road for $3.75 million. His other achievements include a wide range of retail investment properties priced between $500,000 and $3 million.

According to sources at Bayleys, “Tony has a success rate of 80% in selling properties that he takes to auction which he attributes to being knowledgeable about each property, uncovering as many potential buyers as possible with follow up skills aiming at customer satisfaction.”

His corporate sales background, a treasure-house of business and social contacts that is constantly growing and his proficiency in English, Hindi and Punjabi with a working knowledge of Gujarati are among his special attributes.

“My business is people and client-focused rather than area specific. Building relationships, trust and providing effective and efficient service are the main platforms of any successful business. These are my focus as well. I introduce clients to property opportunities around various parts of Auckland, which not only saves them having to go through many agents but also provides them benefit of choosing from a wide variety of available investments,” Mr Chaudhary said.

His success has been punctuated by his ability to work closely with other sales consultants in his company and ensure that his clients are afforded all opportunities to secure offerings that are of interest to them.

A good word is always the one that spreads popularity, spelling success and over the years, Mr Chaudhary has not only had repeat customers but also new contacts as referrals.

“Successfully selling real estate is all about providing extraordinary service, hard work and effort. I take pride in every investment I sell and strive to achieve the best possible result from both vendors and purchasers,” he said.
