On behalf of the South Auckland Muslim Association (SAMA), I extend to you my warm greetings and good wishes on the auspicious occasion of Milad Al Nabi, celebrated to mark the birth of Prophet Mohammed (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam).
The Prophet showed mankind the path of compassion, tolerance, love, brotherhood and righteousness.
His message has the power to lift the human race from ignorance, violence and moral decay to a life of peace, virtue and spiritual fulfilment.
May the enlightened message of the Prophet unite and guide us on the path of peace and harmony.
The teachings of the Prophet are needed in today’s world more than ever.
Social responsibility
As believers, it is our responsibility to improve our lives by following the good deeds of the Prophet.
We should practice welfare and charity by keeping in view his life and teachings.
We should refrain from any action that is unacceptable for anybody’s life, property and dignity, because it is foundation of religion and central to the Prophet’s teachings.
We should behave in a manner that sets an example for the rest of the world.
SAMA will join the Muslim community in celebrating Milad Al Nabi so that the blessings that come with the occasion can be experienced by all Muslims.
Our Association will mark the occasion from 5 pm on January 26 at Masjid Al Mustafa, 26 Mangere Road, Otahuhu.
Hazrat Maulana Noor Ul Aqtab Sidddiqi from London will be our chief guest.
SAMA will also conduct special nightly programmes from 7 pm during the first 12 days of Rabbi Awwal at the Mosque.
We like invite all Muslim brothers and sisters to learn more about our Prophet by joining us at these programmes.
